At the time, Monta Ellis was the best player on the team. Despite Curry's injury woes, they continued to believe in him and his abilities. In 2012, the Dubs traded Ellis to the Milwaukee Bucks and showed their intention to build the team around Curry, which was considered a major gamble by many.
