The Lakers lost the Miami Heat 111 to 108 thanks to a 35 point triple-double from Jimmy Butler and a missed three-point shot from Danny Green. The game was closely contested, with there being seven lead changes in the last three minutes of the game alone. During the first half, there was a scary moment for the Lakers when Anthony Davis went down clutching his ankle.
He shook it off and continued to play 42 minutes in the game. However, Davis came forward after the game to address his injury and availability for Game 6.
Anthony Davis had a double-double in Game 5, scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds, on 9 for 15 shooting. He, alongside teammate LeBron James, were the stand-outs for the Lakers, with both of them combining for 68 of the Lakers 108 points. However, the big talking point coming out of Game 5 was the injury to Davis’ ankle. ‘The Brow’ was seen hobbling after a second scuffle with Andre Iguodala, in which he appeared to re-injure the ankle that had been hurt in the first half.
