“The Energy in the Building Was Always Crazy”: NBA Veteran Pays a Fitting Tribute to Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant has earned a great deal of respect in his NBA career. His prowess as a player is not the only thing worth mentioning. He won many hearts over the years, one of them being Jamal Crawford.  Crawford showered love on the late Lakers legend once more on Twitter.

Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash at the beginning of this year. NBA lost one of the greatest players on that day. While many gave condolences to the Bryant family, there are a bunch of players that are paying tribute to Kobe till date.

Jamal retweeted a video of Kobe’s last game and the message read, “There was nothing like when Kobe would run out on the court for layup line. The energy in the building was always crazy…I used to always look at the other end and watch him in between my shooting… He was always laser focused when I looked down there. No games.”

Jamal Crawford has shown how much he respects Kobe Bryant time and again

The former Phoenix Suns player holds great respect for Bryant. He has played against him in the past years. Kobe’s last game was against Utah Jazz. It was not the best ending to his ecstatic career, but that day, when he said, “Mamba Out,” fans became teary-eyed.

He scored 60 points, a season-high in the final game. Lakers performed with the worst record in the franchise history, and it was a disappointing season for them. But Kobe’s farewell shifted the focus entirely.

The video that was posted featured Kobe giving a pre-game pep talk to the players. He ignited the momentum in the words he spoke and the zeal he exhibited. “Play your heart out. Play to exhaustion every single possession. That’s how I want this last game to be,” he added. “It’s the last game, let’s go hard as hell every single time.”

After Kobe passed away, Jamal was one of the eminent personalities to support the petition to change the NBA logo with Kobe’s silhouette. Comparisons have been drawn between Bryant and Jordan innumerable times. But every generation has a different attachment to their players.

Kobe was a gem and he’ll be remembered thousands of times by millions forever.
