The League is scheduled to take off on July 31 and the players are ready, at least most of them. Jayson Tatum is the newest addition to the group of players who are reluctant to start the season again. Tatum’s reasons differ from Kyrie Irving and Dwight Howard who want to focus on the movement. The Boston Celtics star, however, is hesitant about playing because of the risk of injury.
The young superstar is on his way to signing a supermax contract with the Celtics and doesn’t want to risk an injury till that happens. The 2018 Skills Challenge winner has also expressed an interest in NBPA player insurance according to ESPN. The insurance against injury is intended for players who are likely to sign contracts north of $100 million.
