Why this trade is a win for both the teams

Seth Curry has been a phenomenal shooter of the ball and is currently one of the best in the league. The Sixers can use a man of Seth’s talents.

The Sixers had added Josh Richardson last season in the hopes that he would elevate the team’s success. Although Richardson proved to be a great defender, he did not add much to the offense. He only shot 34 percent from the three last season. The Sixers needed a more prolific shooter considering Simmons’ lack of a jump shot.

Their new GM Daryl Morey is no stranger to adding shooters to the team. Adding Seth Curry to the picture will surely give an offensive boost to the Embiid and Simmons led Sixers. A man of Curry’s shooting ability will be a big help.

Curry will join a revamped 76ers with a new coach in Doc Rivers. Curry only averaged 24.2 minutes per match last season and was limited to a bench role. His playing time certainly will increase this season considering he might round out a starting five of Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Danny Green, and Ben Simmons for the 76ers.

Meanwhile, Josh Richardson will be comfortably put in the starting two-guard spot for the Mavericks. He will definitely benefit from Luka Doncic‘s playmaking.

The Mavericks will be delighted with the addition of a great defender like Richardson. The Mavs finished 18th in the overall defensive rating last season and this was one of the reasons for the team slipping down to 7th seed despite having a great offense.

This trade is win-win situation for all parties involved. Both the 76ers and Mavs will get better and both the players will see a rise in their production.
