“Well That’s Really Easy For Me” : NBA Legend Lists Down Lebron James and Steph Curry to succeed in MJ’s Era

As we have recently concluded watching The Last Dance, and that final shot from Michael Jordan against Utah Jazz which changed everything since. That documentary shed a light on many astonishing players who have graced the NBA court with their sheer perfection. Yet, one debate is everlasting, is the current generation have what it takes to be a  player in the strong setup of the 90s.

Magic Johnson had his way to list down those players in a recent interview with Stephen A. Smith.

“Well, that’s really easy for me. Start with Lebron, then KD no question he can score in any era. Then Steph Curry the way he steals and shoots. then I would take Anthony Davis and Greek Freak”

NBA’s new era

A lot of debate is going around between specifically who is better Michael Jordan or Lebron James. It’s an endless discussion with many pros and cons to adding to each of their lists. But what most important is how the game has evolved from the 90s to this decade. It’s straight havoc today having tremendous players to play around each bringing steaming energy and exceptional gameplay. But, this does miss out on many NBA players to shine while comparing with the greats.

90’s era was a decade of sheer dominance by Chicago Bulls. What we should not forget is, it was one of the most competitive eras. Likes of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Karl Malone were part of that history too. On the other hand, this decade has seen players who rose above all to be compared with best.

Kevin Durant’s gameplay ability made him win back to back titles with Golden State Warriors. Lebron James is running in his 17th year which still looks like, he still has much more to offer to the young generation. Steph Curry is one of the most lethal shooters in the NBA. Anthony Davis aka The Brow has a mindset of fighting like warrior till his last blood. Giannis Antetokounmpo aka Greek Freak is playing as he wants the Larry O’Brien trophy more than anyone.

It’s a battle worth watching.
