Kyle Kuzma has been in the rumour mills since the trade window opened in December. While Los Angeles Lakers have been near perfect this season, they have come to realize a few shortcomings as the season was coming to the halfway mark.

After signing Anthony Davis in the preseason, he has formed an enviable pair alongside LeBron James. The duo has carried the Lakers forward this season as they look like strong contenders for the Championship.

However, at times during the season, when either of Davis or James struggled, they have found things difficult. A busy festive period saw the Lakers struggle for wins. A need for a scorer on the outside of the LeBron James – Anthony Davis duo, which was being speculated for a while, became quite evident. This fuelled the already existing rumours of a Kuzma exit.

According to a report from The Ringer, The Kings have offered Nemanja Bjelica and a draft pick in exchange for Kuzma. The Lakers have rejected the offer and asked for Bogdan Bogdanovic in exchange.

Kuzma, a relatively young forward, was expected to fill the role of the third scorer in the team. Kuzma got time with the Lakers to develop into a player that they need. So far, the Lakers do not seem to be impressed with him. Although his prime years are yet to come and he might develop into a player that they need, the Lakers are currently looking for players that will help them win the Championship this season.
