Top-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs have hardly enjoyed the college basketball season in December as they’ve just played two games so far. Victories against West Virginia and Iowa improved their start to an unbeaten 4-0 record, and the team has announced that they’ll be playing a double-header against Northwestern State on Monday and Tuesday.
The Bulldogs have been playing some exceptional basketball and they’re now the number one team in the country. Jalen Suggs is one of the hottest freshmen at the moment, and the 19-year-old put up a blistering 27 point performance against Iowa to guide Gonzaga to a brilliant victory.

The team was scheduled to play the Northwestern State Demons on Monday at 6 pm P.T., and a last-minute announcement revealed that the Bulldogs will play an additional game against the same opponents on Tuesday.
Now, it will be back-to-back encounters between Gonzaga and Northwestern State on Monday and Tuesday with both tip-offs scheduled for 6 pm Pacific Time.
The additional fixture will be useful for Gonzaga to try and extend their winning start to the season. On the other hand, Northwestern State is struggling, as they’ve just won one of their last eight games.

The Bulldogs have missed major action in December due to COVID-19 cancellations and hence the reason behind playing back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday. Gonzaga last played against the Iowa Hawkeyes and won the encounter under Jalen Suggs’ brilliance.

A pandemic induced break caused a major rift in the Bulldogs’ schedule, but the players went out and handled the pressure with utmost passion. They showcased qualities that coach Few found impressive.
“If you saw practice the first day back from this COVID layoff, the staff needed to wear catcher’s masks or something, the balls were flying all over the place, just to be safe … I’m proud of just how they competed because I wasn’t sure how we would handle coming back from it,” the 13-time WCC Coach of the Year added.
