Brazilian superstar, Neymar Jr joined La Liga giants, FC Barcelona back in 2013. The playmaker enjoyed a good stint at the club, even linking up with Argentine star, Lionel Messi. Once Uruguay’s Luis Suarez joined the fray, Barca’s attacking trio was complete, and they wreaked havoc.

However, it seemed that all good things had to come to an end, and Neymar was tantalised away from Barca, by Paris Saint-Germain. Interestingly, Neymar had an agreement with Barcelona to pay him a commission of 26 million euros for a renovation. This led to Neymar suing the Spanish club prior to the PSG move.

Unfortunately, it would not be the dream move to the Ligue One that he had hoped for. So, it got to a point where Neymar began to entertain thoughts of a reunion with Barca. However, there was still tiny, but major, problem, his lawsuit against the club. To rectify this and get back in their good books, he withdrew the lawsuit. In turn, Barcelona hopes that Neymar remains at the club for at least the next five years.

It was also note-worthy, that aside from Barcelona, there were many other suitors vying for Neymar’s signature. In fact, one of those potential clubs was fellow La Liga giant, Real Madrid. However, the 27-year old made it explicitly clear that Barcelona was higher on the priority list. If in the event that Barca did not lift a finger, Real Madrid would be free to pursue him. Neymar’s mind was made up, in spite of the fact that Real Madrid were offering more than Barcelona.

The Brazilian superstar was even willing to take a wage cut if it meant that he could don the Barcelona colours again. Now, the real question is, how long will it take until the familiar MSN trio starts out all guns blazing?
