The Denver Broncos are coming off a rather disappointing outing from the 2019 season. Drew Lock could very well be the answer to their prayers. Much was left to be desired in terms of both front-office stability, as well as fluidity on the pitch. The Broncos improved to a 7-9 record as compared to the 2018 finish of 6-10. However, the offensive section was underwhelming, to say the least.

The Denver Broncos will play the Tennessee Titans on the 14th of September. They will be keen to undo certain tactical errors from last season. The Broncos have missed the playoff for the fourth consecutive time, per the 2019 season.

Many attribute the Broncos failed attempt to get off the ground due to the quarterback carousel throughout the 2019 season. By the end of the season, The Broncos have had seven different QBs since week 9 of the 2017 season.

QB Joe Flacco was traded in from Baltimore during the offseason. However, a neck injury would spell the end of his season. Backup QB Brandon Allen was called upon, but was subsequently benched following a shabby performance in week 12. Second-Round Draft pick Drew Lock would provide stability to the Bronco’s offense. The NFL rookie helped the team round up going 4-1 in the last five games.

MVP outside Linebacker for the Broncos, Von Miller, has high praise for the young QB. Going into the season with a young squad, Millers’ experience will hold the key to success in the 2020 season.

“He’s confident and you got guys in the league with 10, 12, 15 years and they’re not confident like that. Having confidence in your throws, having confidence in yourself is a key element to playing QB.”

Von Miller isn’t the only one high on the 23-year-old starting QB. In five games, he managed 1020 passing yards, seven TDs, and three interceptions. Drew Lock managed to tie franchise legend John Elway for the most franchise wins by a rookie QB with 4.

With the return of Bradley Chubb to the defensive line, the Denver Broncos will be optimistic about going into the season. The 14th of September will be the perfect litmus test for the young Broncos Squad as they make a run at the Super Bowl.
