Former Giants quarterback Eli Manning recently remarked about Tom Terrific’s absence.
Eli Manning appeared on one of ESPN’s premiere talk shows, Get Up. Hosts Mike Greenberg and Jeff Saturday asked him about his expectations from the 45-year-old Tom Brady. Younger Manning’s response was simple. However, he also brought in his absence and made a thin comparison to what Giants DE Michael Strahan did.

Did TB12 go off the ‘Michael Strahan’ way?
Eli Manning mentioned, “This guy knows how to play football, he knows the offense, he knows the players. The fact that he took a little break there in training camp, guys have done that before. Michael Strahan did it with us, except he just didn’t report. He’s like ‘I don’t think I’m coming back, I don’t know if I’m coming back.’ He just waited until the second week of training camp to come. Brady did the same thing just a different approach.”

Manning alluded to the ex-DE’s disappearance from training camp in 2007 when he was considering retirement. Strahan ultimately returned to Giants off-season workouts. The franchise would steer to a Super Bowl victory over the Patriots in 2008. He retired after capturing his first championship ring.
