One of the heated matchups of Week 16 happens to be the clash between Green Bay and the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. It’s a crucial game for Matt LaFleur to sustain the team’s playoff aspirations alive; however, his play-calling instincts looked terrible before the first half of the game when he tried to execute a fake punt.

In several instances, fans have seen LaFleur making aggressive plays, ignoring the easy points on the table. While most of the time it worked in his favor, it also backfired at various moments. The Christmas game against the Dolphins happened to be the stage when LaFleur and the special teams’ coordinator Rich Bisaccia tried to orchestrate a fake play.

Not only did it fail, but also helped the Dolphins add three more points sustaining their 20-10 lead. It took no time for this incident to spread like a wildfire, with fans roasting the head coach for taking unnecessary risks.

The incident happened when a little more than nine minutes on the clock. Instead of running the ball 4th-and-2 from his own 20-yard line, LaFleur went aggressive, calling a fake. Safety Dallin Leavitt’s attempt found no success and got stuffed by the Dolphins’ special teams.
