Antonio Brown was often regarded as the best wide receiver to ever play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His performances throughout the last decade were remarkable. Due to his brilliance on the field, he became the highest-paid receiver in the league. However, following the end of the 2018–2019 season, Brown was traded to the Raiders.

The Steelers then had JuJu Smith-Schuster, another receiver who was on an upward trajectory. Apparently, Brown had some issues with JuJu. He fired shots at his former teammates following his departure from the franchise.

Antonio Brown took shots at the poor stats of JuJu at the start of the season in 2019. On Twitter, he wrote, “Boo Boo Shoester was ready under 500 U Bum learn some Respect.” Prior to that, Brown had already criticized JuJu for his fumbles in the playoffs when Brown was still there.

JuJu Smith-Schuster was named the Steelers MVP for the season of 2018-2019. Brown didn’t like that, and responded with, “Emotion: boy fumbled the whole post season in the biggest game of year ! Everyone went blind to busy making guys famous not enough reality these days ! by the way check the list.”

JuJu Smith-Schuster had nothing but respect for his former vet. JuJu learned a lot from Brown during their time together. Maybe Antonio Brown felt that JuJu was not capable of replacing him as the Steelers WR1.

Both JuJu and Antonio Brown are on very different paths now

In what seemed like one of the best WR duos in the league at that point in time, the careers of both JuJu Smith-Schuster and Antonio Brown had fallen off a cliff. Brown was traded to the Raiders by the Steelers, but he was soon released from there.
