The New York Jets are in quite a pickle as their desired quarterback for 2023, Aaron Rodgers, has reneged on his promise. He promised to not hold any franchise hostage as he decided his future in the National Football League. But it looks like he did just that.

39-year-old Rodgers has failed to inform the Jets of his intentions before the ‘legal tampering’ period of this year’s free agency began on March 13, as he still contemplates between retirement, New York, and a 19th-year return to the Green Bay Packers.

For an episode of his podcast, ‘I Am Athlete’, Marshall caught up with the Super Bowl XLV MVP at the RX Flag Football Charity Game in Laguna Beach. And despite remaining tight-lipped, Rodgers hinted at a Broadway-bound move.

Well, I think it won’t be long. There’s a time limit for all this. It’s always interesting meeting important figures in the sport. That’s all I’m giving you. Stay tuned,” Rodgers said initially to Marshall’s investigations about his meeting with the Jets. However, on being asked about the possibility of becoming an all-time Jet, A-Rod said, “not if you play for one year, you can’t be an all-time Jet.

Rodgers has a sweet $59.2 million guaranteed money waiting at Green Bay if he returns. However, the Packers are more interested in Jordan Love now. Woody Johnson and Robert Saleh also roped in Rodgers’ favorite Packers wideout Allen Lazard. And with the Jets already restructuring multiple active players’ contracts to accommodate Rodgers’ cap hit, things look to be as good as done. If only A-Rod gave the thumbs up.
