This past Sunday, Panthers’ backup quarterback PJ Walker had one of the best games this season against Tom Brady and the Bucs. Panthers’ interim coach, Steve Wilks, left out no.1 quarterback Baker Mayfield owing to an ankle injury. Relacing Mayfield in the team, Walker played brilliantly and won the game for his team.

Meanwhile, after seeing Walker’s performance, Wilks promoted him to the no.1 quarterback spot ahead of two top 10 draft picks, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold. This news has spread on social media like wildfire and fans think Mayfield’s career might be over in the Panthers’ team after that snub.
