“Baker Mayfield Had His Swag Back”- Pat McAfee Heaps Praise on Cleveland Browns Quarterback

Things were not looking great for Cleveland Browns heading into Thursday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Their dismal outing in Week One against the Baltimore Ravens was fresh in the minds of Browns fans. However, Baker Mayfield had a different plan in mind for Thursday.
The third-year quarterback reminded fans and critics why he’s so highly rated. Mayfield looked confident and was determined to make a difference. He had the support of some high-octane running backs too.
Mayfield threw for 239 yards and registered two passing TDs to hand the home team a comfortable 35-30 win. Here’s what Pat McAfee said about his performance in the Ohio Derby.

The Popular talk show host and former NFL man appeared on the latest segment of ESPN Get Up on Thursday. The former Indianapolis Colts kicker spoke about the brilliant individual performance of their star quarterback, which earned the Browns their first win of the season.
He said, “Baker Mayfield needed this game last night in a bad way….what I saw out of Baker Mayfield, not only him moving out of the pocket, he looked like he had his swag back, like he had at Oklahoma…he connected with Odell Beckham a couple of times.

“With that kind of offense being around Baker, it kind of opens him up a little bit more with the play-action, with a little bit more, letting him not carry the burden of the entire team on his shoulders and I think that is why Baker Mayfield was successful last night and I think that is why Baker Mayfield could be successful moving forward and the Browns quarterback for some time to come,” McAfee said on the show.
Mayfield and his star-studded supporting cast of Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, and Odell Beckham Jr. will hope to build some momentum in the coming weeks.

They face two strong all-round teams in the next few weeks. They first play the Washington Football Team (Week Three) and then the Dallas Cowboys (Week Four).
