Baltimore Ravens’ Wideout Woes Continue as They Suffer Big Injury Setback

Baltimore Ravens have a serious injury problem to deal with this starting season. With running back J.K. Dobbins out with a torn ACL and Miles Boykin dealing with a hamstring injury, their star wide receiver Rashod Bateman is also to miss the first three weeks of the season with a groin issue.
Although Lamar Jackson’s sensational performances helped the Ravens reach the playoffs three times in a row. This season was going to start on a special note. With a group of elite receivers, the Ravens have got a perfect fit for the quarterback. But unfortunately, due to the ongoing injuries, they have to wait a few more weeks to witness those episodes.
Rashod Bateman to miss the first three weeks of the season

The Ravens placed Rashod Bateman in their injury reserve, which means that he will see his debut on the fourth week when the Ravens clash against the Broncos in Denver. During his absence, Marquise Brown, Sammy Watkins, James Proche II, Devin Duvernay and rookie Tylan Wallace are the only active receivers available for the Ravens.

Marquise Brown, after missing a month due to a hamstring injury, has resumed his practice this week. The wide receiver of the Ravens had a successful previous season with 58 catches for 769 yards and eight touchdowns. Furthermore, being the leading receiver of the Ravens, Brown’s return is a positive development for them.

The rookie from Oklahoma State, Tylan Wallace, offers the same combination of speed and size and style of play as Bateman, which will make him the biggest beneficiary during Bateman’s absence. Although the Head Coach John Harbaugh feels pretty confident due to the return of Brown and Watkins as he says, “I thought they looked good, it’s good to have them back, and we’re going to work now.”
With less than a couple of weeks to go for the season to start, the Ravens have to face the Las Vegas Raiders in Allegiant Stadium in the first week, and at the same time face a series of injuries that have affected their plans for a perfect start.
