Last night, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals suffered a disappointing loss against the LA Chargers. The AFC North team lost 41-22 in what was a dismal performance, to say the least. Unfortunately, for the Chargers, the loss wasn’t the only blow they took as their star QB Joe Burrow suffered a dislocated finger against the Chargers.

Cincinnati Bengals QB plays with a broken finger against the Chargers

Star Quarterback Joe Burrow dislocated his right pinkie finger in the 41-22 loss against the Chargers last night. As per footage, the QB got injured during a sack suffered on Bengal’s first offensive venture of the game. Despite suffering the injury early on, Burrow finished the game with 24-of-40 for 300 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

Post-match, the QB revealed that injuries like this don’t matter as football requires a lot of grit. “It’s just something I have to play through,” Burrow said. “That’s what football is. You gotta play through some injuries sometimes.”

Later on, when quipped about why he removed the bandages multiple times during the game, the QB reasoned it to be a matter of convenience. “It was a decision to make it feel better or continue to somewhat throw the ball,” Burrow said. “I decided to be able to throw the ball.”

After Cincinnati’s loss, head coach Zac Taylor ideally would have two concerns – a) analyzing why the team lost; b) strategizing what to do next match with Joe Burrow’s injury.

Luckily for him, one of his concerns need not be dealt with as Joe Burrow confirmed that he will play in Cincinnati’s next match. “It’s just something I’m going to have to deal with,” Burrow said, per ESPN. “I’m not going to miss any games because of it. That’s not something that’s going to happen.”
