It’s interesting to see the former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is still in demand and is topping the priority list of various NFL teams. Even though the Rams are considered the frontrunners, they haven’t signed him yet. It seems Beckham has unveiled a specific reason behind it.

After suffering a torn ACL in the Super Bowl match earlier this year, Beckham is still searching for a team for the upcoming season. One of the major reasons is the wide receiver’s injury because he won’t be able to play for any teams in the first half of the season.

Moreover, looking at the current trend in this off-season, wide receivers won’t come affordable. Especially players like OBJ can be acquired only if the franchises have enough money in their salary cap.

Despite having a successful NFL draft, some franchises are still hunting for a significant wide receiver. Odell Beckham Jr. has the ability to meet their needs provided he gets an appropriate offer matching his true potential. The WR has himself hinted about this in one of his latest tweets.

Is the salary cap an issue for the Rams signing Odell Beckham Jr. back to their roster?

Recently, the wide receiver was involved in a Twitter discussion. Jake Ellenbogen, who covers for the LA Rams, predicted cornerback James Bradberry’s future in the NFL. Soon, Songwriter Jon-John Robinson indulged in the discussion explaining the Rams’ culture and speculated that the franchise might sign OBJ in the coming days. He also tagged the wide receiver in his tweet.

Instantly, the 29-year-old responded to the situation. “They know where I wanna be (with two laughing emojis) just can’t play for free !” OBJ wrote on Twitter. It seems the NFC West team is undervaluing the free agent and his salary cap. As a result, both the parties haven’t signed an official deal so far.

Meanwhile, the wide receiver made a follow-up tweet and mentioned that everything is a part of business and there is nothing personal with the Rams.

A few months ago, Beckham was asked if he would sacrifice financially to improve his chances of returning to the Rams. The wide receiver had a blunt response. “Yeah, of course,” Beckham said with a chuckle and a smile.

“Of course. I just really want to focus on winning this game because I feel like winning this game, everything else is gonna handle the rest. But this place, man, it feels good in my heart. It feels like a home.” he added to his speech. It will be exciting to see how things change for the WR in the coming days.
