The Dallas Cowboys are famous for making free agency and draft blunders. They have often passed the opportunities to draft a great player and instead choose the wrong player. Back in 2017, they did the same.
Cowboys Legend Michael Irvin revealed that he begged owner Jerry Jones to draft JuJu-Smith Schuster in 2017. The Pittsburgh Steelers later drafted Juju with the 62nd overall pick. The Dallas Cowboys had the 28th and 60th pick in the draft.

Instead of drafting JuJu, they opted to draft Taco Charlton, the DE from Michigan, and Chidobe Awuzie, the CB from Colorado. Juju has had a better career than both of those players. He has made the Pro Bowl once and was a crucial part of the Steelers’ offense.
Michael Irvin on ESPN’s First Take said, “This is the dude I went to Jerry Jones and almost got down on my knees and begged to draft with JuJu Smith-Schuster. I worked out with him. I saw and said, ‘This is the perfect guy to come in as a No. 2 and take over as a No. 1, and that’s exactly what he’ll have the ability to do.’”

Michael Irvin is a Cowboys legend. He was also a Wide Receiver who won three Super Bowls for them. Irvin knows about how receivers can play, and the Cowboys should have listed to him and drafted Juju-Smith Schuster. The former Steelers WR could have been a great asset for the current Cowboys team.

The Dallas Cowboys recently lost Amari Cooper. He was their WR1, and now there is a void left in their offense. Juju-Smith Schuster could have slotted perfectly and might have become the WR1 for them till now.
