Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys are working hard to make their way to the NFL playoffs this year. They’ve had a season to forget otherwise under new coach Mike McCarthy in 2020. The Jerry Jones-owned franchise is second in the NFC East division behind Washington Football Team heading into Week 16.

They are in the mix to challenge for the divisional title. But with Elliott’s fitness still shrouded in mystery, there are doubts whether the experienced running back will feature on Sunday night.

Despite the mystery surrounding his inclusion, Elliott is expected to start against the Eagles this weekend. The Cowboys have underwhelmed this far but still have an outside shot at making the post-season phase of the league. 25-year old running back Ezekiel Elliott was listed as ‘questionable’ ahead of tonight’s game against the Eagles.

However, latest reports indicate that the talented Dallas Cowboys star will feature for in this crunch tie. Backup RB Tony Pollard impressed in the 41-33 win over San Francisco 49ers last weekend. On 12 carries, Pollard rushed for 69 yards scoring two rushing touchdowns for the home team.

But coach McCarthy will be expected to give Elliot some game time on Sunday. A win against the struggling Eagles will serve as a morale boost to the Cowboys. A win in Week 16 will put the Dallas-based franchise in prime position for a spot in the post-season alongside Washington. But if Eagles rookie Jalen Hurts is at his best, the Cowboys might find it hard to come away with a win at the AT&T Stadium.
