The inevitable has finally happened. Jimmy Garoppolo has finally ended his tenure with the San Francisco 49ers. With Garoppolo and the Raiders agreeing to a three-year, $67.5 million deal, the QB is headed to Vegas. But all doesn’t seem fine down in Vegas after star WR Davante Adams’ cryptic message. His Instagram story seemed to be taking shots at the team’s newly signed veteran QB. 

For a couple of years, the status of Jimmy G’s career with the team has been under the scanner due to the team’s continued failure with him at the QB position. With the rise of Brock Purdy this season, and the waiting Trey Lance, Jimmy G’s stint with the Niners was almost certainly bound to be over. And now, his journey in Vegas begins with burning debate among fans about Adams’ cryptic message. 

Davante Adams provides the ‘Inside Scoop’ on cryptic messages

Davante Adams needs to be a leader on the young Raiders team. Therefore, his apparent dismay towards Jimmy Garoppolo would have been a major cause of concern for Raiders management. The 3-time Pro Bowler came out and publicly sent out a message to Jimmy Garoppolo. “Jimmy let’s get this.” 

After fans had been furiously creating theories about apparent beef between Adams and Garoppolo, the WR cleared the air announcing his excitement to play with the Super Bowl QB. Adams was clearly not a fan of people speculating about the animosity between the newly minted duo of the Raiders. He made himself absolutely clear. He’s here to win, and Jimmy G is certainly going to help lead the way.

Jimmy G brings forth a new wave of Raiders football

The arrival of Jimmy G marks the official end of the Derek Carr era in Las Vegas. Carr has signed with the Saints, and with Jimmy G coming in, the Raiders will look to revitalise a team that lay near the bottom of the league. After multiple years of setbacks due to injuries, Garoppolo will come into training camp for the Raiders in flying condition.
