Sean McDermott’s Buffalo Bills have been defied expectations over the course of the last 10 weeks. The Bills finished their 2019 season with a 10-6 record with Josh Allen as their starting quarterback.

The Bills can improve on that, having already made their way to a 7-3 record with 6 games left to play in the regular season. Experienced NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs gives his 2 cents regarding the meteoric rise of the Bills and their young quarterback, Josh Allen.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs heaps praise on Josh Allen

Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen have been terrific for the Bills in 2020. After last Sunday’s heartbreaking 32-30 loss to Arizona Cardinals, Diggs revealed what he said to his starting quarterback.

“You got a new quarterback. He likes things done a certain kind of way and you kind of got to get used to him he, got to get used to you.

“So that’s one thing, Josh he put a lot of time in for like not having an offseason. When we hit training camp, which I hit the ground running. We had so many zone calls, we had plenty of talks.

“But when we got onto that practise field, it was rep after rep trying to get better. We still doing it now. But specifically in trying to combat, he made it a point of emphasis that he always strives to be perfect at something, that’s what I love about him, he’s super hard on himself.

“So for me, I tell Superman, you can’t be Superman every day, all day, you know, so he tries to be perfect, so I try to be there to kind of meet him in the middle of the night,” Diggs told Steve Wyche.

The Bills are currently sitting at the summit of the AFC East Division table. The Tua Tagovailoa-led Miami Dolphins are a close second after embarking on a 3-game winning streak.

Allen was in contention for the NFL MVP award along with Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson earlier in the season. However, a slight drop in form has seen his name drop out of the top five contenders list.
