The relationship between Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews is not an overnight bond; it dates back to their college days nine years ago.

The long-time relationship officiated with a Hawaiian marriage

After graduating from high school in 2013, Matthews started playing soccer for the University of Texas. The following year, Mahomes made his way to another college situated 400 miles from Matthews but managed to keep their bond afresh. His fortune shot up in 2017 after he got drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs.

At that time, Matthews was playing with a professional Soccer team in Iceland. Very soon, the duo shifted to Kansas City and began their live-in relationship leading to a marriage proposal in 2020.
