One of the NFL’s 2022 offseason dramas has finally ended. The Arizona Cardinals lock in QB Kyler Murray in a new extension deal. It would keep the QB in the semi-arid and humid region until 2028. However, his extension stunned the NFL enthusiasts who expressed their opinions on Twitter.

Earlier, Kyler Murray had removed all the Arizona Cardinals’ references from his social media accounts. Because of this, there was a lot of public interest in the contract antics during the summer. The Cardinals quarterback advocated for a long-term deal while also showing his allegiance to the team. After getting a hefty extension agreement, he finally achieved his goal.

According to ESPN, the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray fixed the deal after finalizing a five-year arrangement. The extension clocks $230.5 Million, which makes Murray the second-highest paid quarterback.

The Arizona Cardinals QB1 will get $105 million fully guaranteed upon signing the deal. It also includes a $160 million guaranteed for injury, with an average annual value of $46.1 million. The extension now places him alongside Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson, who achieved big-money deals during the summer.

Despite having a stature disadvantage, many think the Heisman Trophy winner got a good deal. Without a doubt, he mostly succeeded in his mission to improve the Cardinals. The franchise has significant upgrades this year, and there are chances of them making a postseason run. If Murray’s effectiveness persists, the Cardinals have a better chance of making it happen.

NFL fans baffled over the Kyler Murray extension

The five-year contract extension might be a big achievement for Kyler Murray. However, NFL fans feel differently. Everyone has their own concerns over it.

A confused user asked why Murray is getting an Aaron Rodgers-level deal with no such achievements as him.
