The Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers entered their Week 6 clash against Tampa Bay Buccaneers as clear favorites. They were on a 4-game winning streak heading into Sunday’s tie. However, things did not go as per plan for the Packers.

Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers registered a mammoth 38-10 win against the Packers at the Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. This was the Packers’ first loss of the season.

Aaron Rodgers, in particular, had a dismal outing on the weekend. He threw for 160 yards with 0 TDs and 2 interceptions. Rodgers was also sacked 4 times, twice by long-time rival Ndamukong Suh.

But despite a disappointing outing against the Buccaneers, Rodgers is not ready to press the ‘panic button’ just yet.

Aaron Rodgers not thinking too much about Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss

Aaron Rodgers appeared on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week. The Packers quarterback was asked to comment on how he felt after suffering his first loss of the 2020 NFL season.

“The complacency starts to sneak in, you start kinda feeling yourself a little. It’s always good to kind of get knocked down a little bit.

“Look, it happens…when you start climbing too high you got to remember what it took to get to that point…..You gotta play like it every week if you want to be the best team in the NFL. Myself & our squad didn’t & I think it can be a good thing,” Rodgers said on the show.

A-Rod wants Packers’ teammates to up the ante in the coming weeks

The 36-year-old quarterback maintains that his team is more than capable of turning things around this week. Rodgers just wants his teammates to get into a consistent rhythm in order to chalk out successful results week-in and week-out.

“I stand by the things that I say and I feel that we can use this as a positive reminder when we start climbing that hill again that, you know, consistency is the most important thing and great teams have consistent habits.

“We gotta keep doing the things that got us to 4-0,” the two-time NFL MVP further added.

Matt LaFleur’s Green Bay Packers take on an under-performing Houston Texans in Week 7. After that, the Wisconsin-based franchise is scheduled to take on the NFC North franchise, Minnesota Vikings, a week later.

Aaron Rodgers will be eager to put in a strong display against the Texans in a bid to clear the slate and move on.
