Green Bay Packers’ David Bakhtiari on the term ‘GOAT’ losing its value

Green Bay Packers star offensive lineman David Bakhtiari thinks this exhilarating search for exceptional players has demeaned the notion of greatness and disrespected the true greats in the league. “Honestly, we throw around GOAT, and terms that are attached with greatness too easily. We gotta respect the greats. It’s becoming way too saturated,” he tweeted.

Judging by the frequency of such analogies, it may take no time that the term GOAT has lost its true meaning. It’s a title earned after years and years of continuous diligence and consistent performance. And assigning it to someone with recent days of glory might not do justice to the real heroes.
