Tampa Bay Buccaneers star TE Rob Gronkowski is finally retiring from the NFL at 33 years of age. Recently, the player declared his retirement while uploading a post on his social media account. As the news broke out, the NFL world came out to congratulate Gronk as he moves on towards his new life.
For a long time, fans were guessing whether Gronk would play this year or not? The news came as a shock for everyone, but everyone praised the star TE for the amazing job he did in his 11 years NFL career. Similarly, former NFL star Marcus Spears on ESPN’s NFL LIVE show praised the four-time Super Bowl champion.

Spears on the show said, “And I know everybody believes that every NFL player is excited and just over the moon to play every Sunday. Well, y’all know I keep it honest. Let’s tell the truth. No, we are not. The body is hurting mindset. You’re tired. You probably suffer the last loss. You got to get yourself ready to go. And there are always guys in the locker room that can lighten the load with their personalities.”
The NFL legend speaks about Rob Gronkowski as to how good he is in locker rooms with his teammates. It is not always easy to play games every Sunday, so there needs to be someone who can lighten the mood by cracking jokes.

Spears thinks Gronk was one player who could do that, and he was always an integral part of his team. Marcus Spears also said, “That’s something else that I’ve heard and known about Gronk since he plays in the league, how much other guys gravitated to the personality and allowed themselves to kind of have a good time playing the game.”
In his 11 seasons, Gronkowski has a total of 92 career touchdowns, which is the 12th most in NFL history. Moreover, he ranks the third-most in the tight end position behind Antonio Gates(116) and Tony Gonzalez (111).
