Last season ended in a very disappointing manner for Carson Wentz. The Indianapolis Colts were primed to reach the playoffs, but in the last game of the regular season, they blew off that chance.

Carson Wentz arguably had the worst game of his Colts career against the Jaguars. The Colts lost that game and missed out on making the playoffs. It was a huge letdown for the team that was expected to make some noise in the playoffs. The Colts didn’t hang around with Wentz and traded him to the Washington Commanders.

Wentz is now a part of a tougher division that includes the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants. As a result, his job has gotten tougher. However, one NFL analyst named Adam Caplan believes Wentz is better than the Eagles quarterback.

Caplan said, “It’s not even close. [Carson] Wentz is so much more talented than [Jalen] Hurts.” This has brought more pressure on Wentz. He now has to prove his worth of whether he is actually better than Jalen Hurts.

He now has a chance to prove all his critics wrong. If he is able to lead the Commanders to the playoffs, then that would be a huge achievement. If he is able to leapfrog his former team, the Eagles, and also the Cowboys, to reach the playoffs, it could be a career-defining season for him. Everyone in Washington will be rooting for the success of Wentz and will hope he turns out well for their team.
