Pittsburgh Steelers Rookie Chase Claypool Gets His Name in the Record Books

The happiest place on a weekend in America is Pittsburgh. Don’t believe us? Ask any Steelers fan and you’ll get the same answer. Coach Mike Tomlin has led Pittsburgh Steelers to yet another win this season, extending their winning streak to 10.
Ben Roethlisberger put in another strong display to lead the Steelers to a commanding 3-27 win over Jacksonville Jaguars. The veteran quarterback threw for 267 yards with 2 passing touchdowns to his name.
But the actual Steelers player who stole the show in Week 11 was the young wide receiver, Chase Claypool.

Claypool was drafted by the Steelers in the 2nd round (49th overall). The Notre Dame graduate was one of the college football stars who went under the radar at this year’s virtual draft.
However, 11 weeks into his debut season in the NFL and Claypool already boasts a strong following. The 22-year-old has enjoyed an overnight rise to fame due to his impressive displays with the Steelers since September.

With a 31-yard receiving TD in the 2nd quarter, Chase Claypool became the 4th wide receiver in NFL history with 10+ touchdowns in his first 10 career games

Claypool boasted of a tally of 9 touchdowns (7 receiving and 2 rushing) ahead of today’s game against the Jaguars. He completed a magnificent 31-yard receiving touchdown in the 2nd quarter to take his tally to 10.

In doing so, Claypool is now the 4th Wide Receiver to reach a tally of 10 touchdowns in his first 10 career games in the league. He is certainly in esteemed company at the moment.

On 35 receptions in 2020, Chase Claypool has 500+ yards to his name. Along with JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Conner, and Eric Ebron, even Claypool has been one of the in-form Steelers players this season.

It is no secret that the delightful youngster is a fan favorite. Even coach Tomlin seems pleased with Claypool and why shouldn’t he be? He might just end up as Rookie of the Year after winning the first 10 games of his career already.
