Lamar Jackson Claps Back at Adam Schefter for Misquoting His Response From “The Shop” With LeBron James

Lamar Jackson wants to be a Super Bowl Champion. No question about it. But that will not be the end-all-be-all culmination of his journey. As he is eyeing much bigger goals and aiming for the stars.

Recently, Lamar stopped by ‘The Shop’, a casual talk show hosted by NBA legend Lebron James and entrepreneur Maverick Carter. It was a very intriguing conversation. And it was not just Jackson who was candidly wise in his dialogue. The show also featured artistic thought leaders in Donald Glover, J Balvin, Quinta Brunson, and marketing executive Paul Rivera.

During the show, Lebron James starts talking about the extra push that comes from proving others wrong. Lebron talks about channeling the hate he receives into positive action, where he brings the Ravens QB in. The four-time NBA champ says pointing to Jackson, “By the way, he knows, he knows, cause of when they told him he isn’t a real Quarterback.”

James is talking about the time when Pro teams asked Lamar Jackson if he would switch positions. That was a tough position to be in when you had a decorated college career. Lamar must’ve been hurt at being seen as anything other than a QB.

Lebron cuts in and announces, “It’s dying off but it’s still there.” 

Lamar Jackson adds, “it’s still there. That’s why I need that championship.”

Lamar Jackson’s premier plight from that discussion remains the lack of credit he gets. There are still those who doubt his sustainability. It will be interesting to see if he proves his naysayers wrong by winning a Super Bowl. But Championship ring or not, Lamar Jackson has shown the world his athletic prowess for a lengthy period now.

And after four years in the league, he has proved that the decision to stay at QB was the right one. The only chip remaining for the unanimous league MVP is a crowning run in the post-season. It takes a lot more than individual talent to get there, but Lamar Jackson looks ready to grab onto that opportunity as soon as it presents itself.
