Lamar Jackson mentioned with a smile, “I’ve seen Belichick smile. Usually, when I see him, he’s puzzled face, a straight-faced guy. When I saw him smile, I was like, ‘Damn! you’ve got humor. I wasn’t expecting you to be smiling.’”

The Ravens QB’s rare encounter took place in 2018. It was when the Patriots were preparing themselves to move from the Tom Brady era. For LJ, it was a sight to see as he did not expect to see a smiling Bill Belichick. However, he does not know what made the Patriots’ legendary head coach smile that day.

Ultimately, they selected offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn with the 23rd overall pick and running back Sony Michel with the 31st overall pick. It was one spot before the Ravens traded in the first round to select the QB.
