Tom Brady enters this year’s offseason workouts after committing to one more year with Tampa. He will now deal with unfinished business and is blooming in his team workouts. However, one of TB12’s moves has left everyone scratching their heads. It also includes one of his biggest vocal supporters.

The legacy of the NFL is incomplete without Tom Brady and his 22 years of unmatched supremacy. This year, he is topping it up with an extra coat of inclination to clinch another Super Bowl ring. Fans, analysts, and even athletes know his level of competitiveness and believe it might happen in the 2022-23 campaign.

Tom Brady has some high hopes from Russell Gage, who joins the Brady and Corp. this year. TB12 made a strong pronouncement about his team’s passing attack in 2022. He mentions WR Gage, who “has to have a big year.”

It raises questions about why the ‘Friendly Neighborhood’ Brady will call him out ahead of the training camps. Even columnist Skip Bayless was shocked upon hearing this and expressed his thoughts on a recent episode of UNDISPUTED.

Bayless mentions, “When I first read these quotes last night, I was pretty shocked. Because I do not remember Tom Brady this early in the process either calling out or singling out a player with this kind of magnitude, saying, “you’re the key to the season.” He just doesn’t do that. He might do it behind closed doors, but he doesn’t do it through the media.”

Skip Bayless may have answers to the Gage shout-out by Tom Brady

Following his initial remarks, Bayless attempts to delve into the situation to determine why Tom Brady did what he did. The American Columnist believes he is summoning Gage to say, “I need you to practice with me,” as it’s all rich now. TB12 is all about the visible spectrum. Tampa Bay might need him for more than just being a slot receiver this time.

Chris Godwin is rebounding from an ACL tear, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need a No. 2 to complement Mike Evans. Moreover, if Godwin cannot play in Week 1, they will focus heavily on Gage in the early innings. Russell Gage missed the initial OTA session because of an undisclosed lower leg injury. However, the GOAT doesn’t want to struggle. During his time in Atlanta, Gage was phenomenal. He’s a great pick for the team. But Brady wants to achieve well this year, and Gage could be the key.
