Veteran NFL wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was offloaded by Houston Texans earlier this year. Arizona Cardinals traded David Johnson along with a second-round pick and fourth-round pick in 2021 to the Texans in exchange for Hopkins and a fourth-round pick.
This deal is being touted as one of the worst of all time, as far as the Houston Texans are concerned.
Hopkins was quintessential for the Texans last season. He connected well with young quarterback Deshaun Watson. 28-year-old Hopkins had 1,000+ receiving yards and completed seven TDs in 2019.

“We’re going to be able to expose the defense and really help out this offense and Texans organization. Get the first downs, the touchdowns,” Johnson said.

Johnson had started in 47 games for the Cardinals before moving to Houston earlier this year. Since joining the NFL in 2015, Johnson has rushed for 3,000+ yards, which is a decent return for a running back.
He also made the Pro Bowl once, back in 2016. It will be interesting to see if the now 28-year-old rusher can bolster the Texans’ claim to the playoffs this season.
