Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is one of the top players in the NBA and caused a massive uproar when he requested a trade recently. The Nets have already been in the news since their star player Kyrie Irving had created a lot of fuss regarding leaving Brooklyn. It is not the first time an NBA player has made a trade request, but Durant’s decision to leave may come as a shock for his team.

Sports Analyst Skip Bayless, while commenting on the whole scenario, compared NFL to being a much more popular sport than NBA. Bayless said, “It’s not good for the NBA’s image (and ratings) that superstars can force trades even when they have 4 YEARS LEFT ON A CONTRACT, as Kevin Durant does. But this is now the way business is done in the NBA – and why the NFL is still so much more popular.”

Durant has four years left on his contract and has already requested a trade deal. Now, whichever team gets him will have him for the long term. Now, Bayless thinks the way NBA is conducting its business is harming the league’s image. Nowadays, star players have more control over teams, which is not the case in the NFL.
