Sunday night’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers was a thrilling one, to say the least. The game, which was only decided towards the last minutes of the last quarter, had everyone on the edge of their seats. Kansas City edged over the Chargers 27-30, thanks to a last-minute touchdown pass by Patrick Mahomes. But some might argue that what decided the game was not the touchdown. On the contrary, it was Chargers’ QB Justin Herbert and his interception throw that doomed the Chargers.

Herbert’s interception came at a point in the game where they could least afford a mistake. The loss puts the Chargers sitting at 5-5, with no viable shot at taking the division title from the Chiefs. With their performance not up to the mark, their hopes of getting into the playoffs are also slipping away. At the same time, the Chiefs are flying high, as they sit on top of their division, with a guaranteed playoff spot. Added to that, they are poised to be the top seed in the AFC, which will enable them to get a bye week during the postseason rounds.

Chargers fans aghast at a dismal performance by QB Justin Herbert

The loss against Kansas City did not go down well with Chargers fans. Not because they lost to their division rivals. But because of how poorly the offense performed. Especially Justin Herbert. His knack for throwing interceptions in crucial moments of the game has left fans distraught and disappointed, and they showed their emotions clearly on Twitter.

With the Chargers slowly falling out of playoff contention, Herbert and his offense will have to step up and get their act together. With only a few games left in the season, every game will be as crucial as playing the Super Bowl itself. A loss in any of the games could seal their fate and knock them off of a playoff berth. Can Herbert make a comeback this late in the season, and salvage something out of their remaining games?
