The Drew Brees-led New Orleans Saints’ 2020 NFL campaign has not gone as per plan. The reigning NFC South Champions kicked the season off with a comprehensive win over Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

However, they suffered two back-to-back losses against the Las Vegas Raiders and Green Bay Packers in Week Two and Three, respectively.

After beating the Detroit Lions last weekend, Sean Payton’s team will be eager to add to their win tally tonight. Meanwhile, Anthony Lynn’s Los Angeles Chargers find themselves on a 1-3 record in the league after four weeks.

Seasoned NFL quarterback Drew Brees is having a tough outing with the Saints in 2020. The veteran shot-caller has thrown for 1,000+ yards with eight passing TDs against two interceptions from four games.

However, he has found it hard to generate game-winning plays in the final quarter, as was seen in the loss against the Raiders in Week Two.

Brees will also be without top wide receiver, Michael Thomas, on Monday. The 27-year-old was listed as ‘questionable’ once again, with rumors indicating that he was involved in a training ground incident earlier this week.

Running back Alvin Kamara will be key for the offense along with young wideout, Emmanuel Sanders.

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert still searching for first win

Apart from quarterback Tyrod Taylor, the Chargers could also be without star defensive end Joey Bosa tonight. The explosive NFL veteran is listed as ‘questionable’ and is dealing with knee and tricep issues.

Rookie quarterback, Justin Herbert, is on the hunt for the first win of his NFL career and will be eager to cause a major upset against a senior quarterback like Drew Brees.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen will be pivotal for the Chargers if they want to upset the Saints at their home turf in New Orleans. 23-year-old Jalen Guyton could also be a threat moving forward, having impressed in the Week Four loss to Tampa Bay.

The Chargers defense will hope to welcome Joey Bosa into the line-up tonight. But if he fails to clear the fitness test, Linval Joseph and Rayshawn Jenkins will be their driving forces at the back.

New Orleans Saints will be the favorites to win this one. Sean Payton’s side has more firepower and experience as compared to their counterparts.
