The season has barely ended, and trouble has already started brewing in the New Orleans Saints. Ever since they lost Sean Payton, trouble seems to always get its way to the Saints. And now, it has grabbed probably the best player on their roster, Alvin Kamara. The NFL world added to their worries by asking the Calvin Ridley question as Kamara gets deeper into legal hot waters.

Ridley got at least a season-long suspension for gambling in the last off-season. So, the fans want to know what kind of suspension Kamara is looking at, given the seriousness of the charges.

NFL world reacted to the Alvin Kamara development

Alvin Kamara got bad news on the legal front. A Nevada grand jury indicted the Saints running back in an alleged assault case from last year, Dov Kleiman reported. The assault happened in Las Vegas during the Pro Bowl weekend last year.

The NFL world reacted to the development by bringing in the case of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receiver Calvin Ridley. Many fans wanted to know the NFL’s next course of action in the Kamara case. Especially when the league suspended Ridley for at least one whole season on less serious charges.

The jury indicted Kamara along with the Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chris Lammons and two others on battery charges. The group allegedly beat up a man named Darnell Greene at The Cromwell Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. With the indictment, the case bypassed the Las Vegas Justice Court and went straight to the Judicial District Court.

The Calvin Ridley question?

The NFL suspended the Jaguars’ Calvin Ridley for at least the entire 2022 season for betting. The WR bet on games involving the Atlanta Falcons, the team he then played on, in 2021. Ridley said that he bet a total of $1500 and that too, on Falcons victories. He has now applied for reinstatement.

While he may get back into the game in the 2023 season, many fans thought that the league was a bit harsh on the WR. Thus, the questions came flying in on the Alvin Kamara case. The NFL has said that it is monitoring the situation. The league probably wants the situation to play out before deciding. What does the future hold for Kamara?
