What a season it’s turning out to be for Patrick Mahomes and his band of speedsters. The Kansas City Chiefs sit comfortably atop the AFC West Division table with a 7-1 record above Derek Carr’s Las Vegas Raiders.

The Chiefs are currently on a 3-game winning streak. An inspired Patrick Mahomes is leaving no stone unturned as the Chiefs gear up to defend their Super Bowl Trophy in 2020.

In 8 games this year, the Texas-born quarterback has thrown for 2,300 yards with 21 passing TDs and just 1 interception. His passer rating of 115 is one of the best in the league.

But why doesn’t his name pop up in NFL MVP conversations like his counterparts, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers?

Seattle Seahawks’ Russell Wilson and Green Bay Packers veteran Aaron Rodgers have truly taken the league by storm this year. Both these players have also thrown for 2,100+ yards already this season and remain at the forefront of the 2020 NFL MVP race. Why does Patrick Mahomes not deserve a mention?

“Well, I mean, he’s averaging almost 300 passing yards, a game 21 touchdowns, only one intercepted dudes playing out of his mind. Right. And I think he, I think he falls victim to the fact that we just expect the greatness,” Robinson said on the show.

Mahomes has been nothing short of terrific for the Chiefs in 2020. In the 35-9 win over the New York Jets, Mahomes went 31 of 42 with 416 yards and registered an impressive tally of 5 TDs.
