Carson Wentz led the Philadelphia Eagles to their second win of the season on Thursday night. Doug Pederson’s boys made their way to a narrow 22-21 victory over the New York Giants at the Lincoln Memorial Field. Despite the win, the Eagles have been dealt a serious blow with regards to their experienced wide receiver, DeSean Jackson.
Jackson, who is playing his 12th season in the NFL, was at the receiving end of a nasty tackle from Giants tight end Kaden Smith. The veteran wideout immediately threw his helmet in disgust. He was carted off from the field as he could not continue.
Coach Doug Pederson revealed after the game itself that Jackson would be out for a ‘significant time’.
