Las Vegas Raiders’ Darren Waller Feels His Side Can Catch up With Kansas City Chiefs

The 2020 NFL season is now done with. The Kansas City Chiefs losing out to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV may have come as a surprise to many, but as things stand, Tom Brady now has a seventh Super Bowl ring.
The Chiefs were dominant throughout the course of the season. The side lost only twice en route to the Super Bowl. One of which came in the final week of the regular season when they rested several star players.
But their only other defeat in the regular season came at the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. Falling to a 32-40 defeat at home against the Raiders, was their first defeat of the season.

Though the Raiders failed to make the playoffs, one Raiders player feels his side aren’t that far off from the Chiefs.
Can the Raiders catch up with the Kansas City Chiefs?
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller while talking to the NBC Sports Bay Area talked about how he believes his franchise is not far off from the Chiefs in terms of quality on the pitch.
“I really don’t think there’s much because the first game we won, the second game they score at the end and if you ask people on defense, they say we can’t happen but those are two games that we feel like we should have won,” Waller said.

Referring to the second time the two sides met in the regular season which resulted in a 35-31 win for the Chiefs, Waller insisted that his team has the talent in their roster to compete with the Chiefs.
“We don’t feel like the gap is that big, honestly. It’s easy to show up and play them because they are so good and so talented that you naturally want to play your best. We feel like our best is right there with theirs.”

With many now doubting just how good the Chiefs are following their lopsided defeat against the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl, one can expect many such more comments regarding the side in the build up to the 2021 NFL season.
