The star quarterback of the Bucs, Tom Brady, has had a longer career than most players in the league. He has been playing for a whopping 23 seasons in the NFL. Brady’s longevity has been second to none. In a podcast, he revealed his thoughts about his career.

While Brady has picked up a few tricks for maintaining his physique, he has also learned important life lessons from the game. In his most recent episode on the podcast, Brady spoke about how the game has taught him gratefulness. He also spoke about the experienced perspective he has gained as a student of the game.

Tom Brady and his perspective after 23 years

The Let’s Go podcast got a bit more introspective this week. As Tom Brady and Jim Gray talked about different emotions Brady experienced as an athlete, they also spoke about his long career. The duo discussed the different perspectives Brady has been able to amass throughout his career.

Brady spoke about different emotions that accompany losses and wins. He mentions the way in which people react when he’s winning and when he’s losing games. While explaining his perspective, he said, “it’s lonely when you lose. No one wants to be a part of that. You’re you know, you’re sitting there by yourself.” He spoke about the true loneliness he had felt whenever he lost games. Brady also spoke about the continuity that his time in the league has granted him. He has had to garner an attitude of looking to the next day. His statement was a testament to this when he said, “you know you just wake up every day the next day the sun’s gonna come up and you got to do the best you can do the next day that’s just the way we have to deal with life.” Brady also spoke about the good luck he has had in the league.

Brady’s previous and current teams

During the podcast, Brady makes it clear that he is not without gratitude. He talked about the good fortune he has had to be part of such great teams throughout his career and said, “I’m so blessed for so many years to be a part of so many great teams.

He also talked about his personal contribution to these teams and said, “there’s different challenges and adversities this team faces and the thought is how do I solve them and what can I do to help them.” Tom Brady has truly learned a lot during his 23-year-long career. While he continues playing and learning, one must wonder how many times his learnings helped him not just in his professional but also in his personal life.
