Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos lost 10-9 on Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens. This took their losing record to 3-9 for the season. Wilson and head coach, Nathaniel Hackett, find themselves under tremendous pressure after their fourth loss in a row. And Denver is going after Russell’s huge contract fortune.

When DangerRuss arrived on his $245 million contract, nobody thought he’d be asked to give it back at the end of mid-season. However, the Broncos, according to some, have reached that point in their season where they demand some accountability from their quarterback. Russell Wilson had yet another average game on a night when the Denver offense let their defense down.

I’ve never really lost so many games like this. It’s a new feeling. One I don’t like,” Russell Wilson said after the Baltimore Ravens game. However, Broncos Nation is losing its patience with the 2014 Super Bowl Champion. Mark Kiszla of the Denver post thinks Russell should probably consider giving back some of the contract money to the Broncos due to his lack of performance and leadership this season.

Russell Wilson couldn’t topple the Ravens who were without Jackson

Baltimore Ravens QB, Lamar Jackson, started the game for the NFC North Divisional leaders. However, Action Jackson left at the end of the first quarter and didn’t return to the game because of his knee injury. Tyler Huntley did an impressive job driving the offense to a last-minute comeback win. Broncos QB Russell Wilson, on the other hand, couldn’t reach the Ravens’ end zone even once. The former Seattle Seahawks QB completed 17 out of his 22 passes over 189 yards.

The Denver Broncos got all their 9 points from Brandon McManus’ 75% field goal shooting. According to Kiszla, Russell Wilson should give back some of the $245 million so that owner Rob Walton and his associates can spend that money acquiring some necessary talent to fill the holes in the offense. With their playoff hopes almost evaporated, this seems to be the final option.

Wilson isn’t the only one being questioned. HC Nathaniel Hackett’s position is also uncertain after the nightmare of a season where the Broncos have officially hit rock bottom. With Deion Sanders coming in as the head coach of the University of Colorado Boulder Football program, Broncos Nation wants to see Prime Time on the sidelines against the Kansas City Chiefs next week. Maybe that’ll shake things up enough for the much-needed recovery.
