Richard Sherman carved a reputation for himself during his time with Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks last decade. The Seahawks selected the former Stanford man in 2011 in the 5th-round (154th overall). Subsequently, the promising cornerback established himself as one of the key components of Pete Carroll’s defense.
Nicknamed, The Legion of Boom, the likes of Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Brandon Browner, Walter Thurmond, and Byron Maxwell led Seattle to their first-ever Super Bowl with Russell Wilson as their quarterback. However, Sherman opted to join divisional rivals, San Francisco 49ers in 2018.
The 5-time Pro Bowler agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract. Now, Sherman, who spent three years with Kyle Shanahan, is currently a free agent ahead of the 2021 NFL season.
