NFL franchise Seattle Seahawks might be feeling a little relieved after initial doubts regarding quarterback Russell Wilson cleared away. Wilson seems to have a set idea about where he wants to play in his immediate future. The veteran QB has been in the news for his recent social media scrubbing of the team logo from his Twitter handle. The actions sent many fans into a frenzy and intensified trade rumors.
During his appearance on the Today Show, he stated his belief that he was happy to play on the West Coast rather than return home to East Coast. While addressing trade rumors linking him to Washington, he was quick to dismiss it citing how settled and happy he was in Seattle.

The former Super Bowl champion doesn’t intend to move away from home and would be playing in Seattle.
While discussing the Twitter frenzy around the scrubbing controversy, he said, “First of all, people need to check my Twitter often because I think they are not checking my Twitter often. First of all, it has always stated I wanna love like Jesus for a long time. So I changed my picture to me and my Dad and everybody freaked out.” He also added that winning football games is his main concern currently and he will be looking forward to doing it in the upcoming season.
Russell Wilson still has unfinished business in Seattle
The recent statements by Wilson will ease many Seahawks fans and their fears about losing their star QB soon. It elongates their timeline for contending for NFL championships for another season. Wilson still has great performances when healthy looking at the last season. He finished with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions off 3,113 yards through the air, and it was an injury that ended both his and Seahawks season.

Despite his statement, many NFL analysts continue to float some trade scenarios with four teams in the race for his signature. Wilson’s agent Mark Rogers did state his client would only entertain trades to the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders, or the Chicago Bears.
