Aaron Rodgers is entering his 15th season in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers start has been one of the top-performing quarterbacks over the last decade or so. He’s right up there with New England Patriots’ Tom Brady, Pittsburgh Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger, and New Orleans Saints’ Drew Brees. Of course, Rodgers is the youngest of the aforementioned three quarterbacks.

A-Rod turns 37 in December this year. He has previously said that he intends to play till he is in his forties. He had a decent season with the Packers in 2019. Rodgers threw for 4,000+ yards for the second year running as the Wisconsin-based franchise made the NFC Championship game. However, Matt LaFleur’s team suffered a disappointing loss against San Francisco 49ers as they ended last year on a sour note.

The Packers moved quickly to trade up and pick promising Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL draft. Many critics and fans slammed the Packers’ management over Love’s acquisition. They claimed that Rodgers was not sufficiently backed by team management and that he was not shown respect by the board.

But a recent video of A-Rod and Jordan Love could prove why the former is such a revered figure in the NFL.

Here’s what former Indianapolis Colts player Pat McAfee had to say about Rodgers when he saw the video. The popular sportscaster claims Rodgers’ attitude in training speaks volumes of him as an individual. The fact that he could put all the noise made by the media behind and focus on helping nurture Love’s talent is a testament to his character. Love, himself, acknowledged what it means to him to train alongside the two-time NFL MVP.

“It’s definitely been a lot for me just in terms of learning the playbook and trying to get a grasp on that right now, but that quarterback room, it’s a great room, great environment to be around. I’ve got two dudes that I can learn from; I’ve learned a lot so far from them and will continue to do that,” Love told the team’s official website.

Head coach Matt LaFleur will hope that Rodgers can take Love under his wing over the course of the 2020 season. This could be similar to what the Packers tried to do when they drafted Rodgers in 2005 so he could learn from the great Brett Favre. Deja Vu, anyone?
