The Dallas Cowboys took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC wildcard playoff game on Monday Night Football. And the Cowboys QB Dak Prescott played the game of his life to win it for his team. Billionaire Jerry Jones, who owns the Cowboys, was over the moon with the QB’s first-ever playoff win. And he revealed the words of inspiration that led to Prescott snapping the Cowboys’ losing streak against Tom Brady.

The Cowboys had never won a single NFL game against a team with Brady at the center. And according to Jones, the QB has served a notice to everybody in the league.

Jerry Jones revealed his message to Dak Prescott after the Cowboys booked their place in the NFC divisional playoffs. He had told the QB to not take any unnecessary risks in the high-stakes game. And it seems like Prescott was really listening.

It was the first time in eight games that Prescott did not give away a turnover to the opposition. And he did it in probably the biggest game of his career so far. So, Jones’ words of wisdom did have the desired effect.

Snapping out of a playoff drought

The Cowboys last won a playoff game, that wasn’t played at their home, three decades ago. So, it was heavy baggage to carry for a once-dominant franchise. And Dak Prescott just threw it away to the end zone along with the ball.

The QB threw 305 passing yards against the Buccaneers with 25 completions. He threw four touchdown passes at crunch times, including a fourth down conversion that could have been pivotal if missed. That’s how cool he played on Monday.
