Cam Newton recently appeared on the Pivot Podcast. Unsurprisingly, he is in the news again due to the things he spoke about during the podcast. Last year also he was criticized by multiple people for what he said during his appearance on podcasts.
This time around, the former Carolina Panthers quarterback didn’t say anything that would hurt anyone’s sentiments. However, he was once again very confident about himself as a player in the NFL. He again said that 32 quarterbacks who are in the league aren’t better than him. Moreover, he also compared himself with the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Peyton Manning.

Newton said, “I saw myself more valuable than a Tom Brady, I saw myself more valuable than an Aaron Rodgers, than a Peyton Manning.” He added, “Because I can go into their community, but they can never go to my community.”

Since Cam Newton went to the New England Patriots to take the place of Tom Brady, his career has been on a decline. He was a legend in Carolina and won the MVP in 2015. The Patriots released Newton at the start of last season.
Mac Jones replaced him, and as a result, he didn’t want to stay with the team anymore. The former MVP joined the Carolina Panthers once again, but didn’t have the best of performances for them. He played 8 games for them last season and had a passer rating of 64.4 with 684 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions.

This was certainly not up to the mark, but Newton wants to return again. It is very likely that he might end up in Carolina. If the Panthers don’t go after Baker Mayfield, there is a high possibility that Newton might even start for them in the next NFL campaign.
