“Things Can’t Go Back to Normal” – Trevor Lawrence Reflects on His Rise to Stardom

After Joe Burrow’s record-breaking season with LSU in 2019, this year it seems like Clemson Tigers QB Trevor Lawrence will end the NCAA College Football season on a high. The 21-year old is widely tipped to be the number one pick at next year’s NFL draft.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets are his most likely destinations in 2021. But the young quarterback is already making waves across social media. His impressive displays for the Tigers over the last two seasons have made the Knoxville-born lad a household name across homes in South Carolina.

But how does he feel about this newfound fame?

But how does the starry-eyed youngster feel about his almost instant rise to stardom? Here’s what he has to say.

“I don’t know, I come from a small town. I guess through High School everyone knew who I was just being from a small football town in Georgia and I think probably after the first National Championship it went to another level, especially around here. Just going out to places that kinda changed, I think that’s when I realised that ‘Dang, things can’t go back to normal,’ it’s different now,” Lawrence said during the interview.

In nine games for the Tigers in 2020, Trevor Lawrence has thrown for 2,753 yards with 22 passing touchdowns to his name. He finished seventh in the Heisman Trophy finalist list in 2019.

However, Lawrence made the shortlist for this year’s edition of the prestigious award along with Alabama football stars, Mac Jones and Devonta Smith and Florida’s Kyle Trask.
