Tom Brady is now staring at his 23rd season in the NFL. Though, at one point the possibility of that seemed bleak, his surprising return from a 40-day retirement lit up the NFL flames once again. It was going all when until he signed a lucrative contract with broadcaster FOX. His signing has once again stirred the conversation about his possibility to retire after the 2022 season.
Many believe that this might just be his last dance, and so does the Miami Dolphins reporter Omar Kelly. However, it is not just any opinion coming out of thin air. He has sound reasoning behind his belief which might just make many wonder if it’s in fact the case.

Omar Kelly believes 2022 to be the last dance for Brady
“I do. When you have $37M a year waiting for you to talk about football instead of playing it why continue to put your body in harms way,” Kelly replied to a question on whether he thought Tom Brady would retire after the 2022 season.

It is hard to swallow that a quarterback who had long endorsed his longevity would retire after 23 years in the league. But the reason given by Kelly carries some weight to it.

Now that Tom Brady has signed a 10-year contract worth a whopping $375 million with FOX, it might not be surprising to see the seven-time Super Bowl champion hang his cleats for good though he can take time to retire as per his contract. This deal has made him the highest-paid NFL analyst in sportscasting history with a $37.5 million average annual salary.
